Fuck solar Welly. The Datsun might have a Nitrous Blower , but it's main fuel supply is steam. I got a mate to rip the donk out and throw in a boiler .

I've had Ketut and the boys feeding tyres into that thing for a few thousand kms now and she hasn't missed a beat. Sure , the coppers aren't into it , but even factoring in $500 worth of pollution fines I'm still way better off in the hip pocket than if I was burning diesel like every other knob.

Now that I think about it , the trailer is looking a bit light on for fuel tyres, I better stop at the next servo and grab their dead spares. The daft fuckers actually pay me to take them off their hands ! More beer money for me ....

I've been putting in long hours baking cakes for Liberal Party fund raisers , so I've got a few favours owing if your keen. My last post said Yeti, but in fact you are right Welly. It should have been Yowie. So how is it you have adopted a mythological creature in to your world when you don't have any first nation connection to their heritage or culture.

The Yeti or Abominable Snowman (Nepali: हिममानव, lit. "mountain man") is an ape-like cryptid taller than an average human that is said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet.[3] The names Yeti and Meh-Teh are commonly used by the people indigenous to the region, and are part of their history and mythology. Stories of the Yeti first emerged as a facet of Western popular culture in the 19th century.

Yowie is one of several names given to a mythical hominid reputed to live in the Australian wilderness. The creature has its roots in Aboriginal mythology. In parts of Queensland, they are known as quinkin (or as a type of quinkin), and as joogabinna,[1] in parts of New South Wales they are called jurrawarra, myngawin, puttikan, gubba, doolaga, gulaga and thoolagal.[1] Other names include yahoo, yaroma, noocoonah, wawee, pangkarlangu, jimbra and tjangara.[1][2][3]

As is the case with the North American Sasquatch, many people discount the existence of the yowie considering it more likely to be a combination of misidentification, folklore and hoax. Yowie-type creatures are common in Aboriginal Australian legends, particularly in the eastern Australian states.[4] The yowie's characteristics and legend are sometimes interchangeable with those of the bunyip.[5]

Irregardless of what you call it, it still remains a creature that lives in first nation folk lore.

That's an interesting read ...

Seems, according to here ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Hanauer ), he has been banging on about the same approach since 2012 ... check the links in the references namely:

this: http://business.time.com/2012/05/18/was-nick-hanauers-ted-talk-on-income...

His TED speach:

mmm, so the rich folk didn't like it the first time, and have not done much in the 2 years either?

But, that aside, interesting concept ... middleclass better at creating jobs than the wealthy?

Or, is this just another take on the rich, wanting to get wealthy, or more wealthy, off the back of the idea's and hard work of others?

Entirely consistent with Tea Party ideology of small government. You don't need ideas you just need to facilitate them but only from people that count ... here its the likes of Murdoch, Twiggy, Gina and that fuckwit heading up the review into the renewable energy target. Oooops lets not forget Tony's spiritual advisor George Pell and the guy that did the fiscal review that engineered the budget emergency on which Hockey produced his budget .

Do you really expect these plodders to have their own ideas beyond small, cut and slash?

Hey Sheepdog, I reckon most Palmer voters fit into the "Up yours" category, people that were pissed off with both political parties at the last election. If they traditionally voted Liberal do you really think they would change from Palmer back to Abbott given what we have seen since the election? Hardly, although Big Clive hasn't done himself any favours with his Chinese comments.

Its hard to know how all this will end up, its clear Abbott/Hockey/Corman/Dutton/Pyne//Brandis/Morrison have no Plan B and with the budget cuts so universally unpopular with just about everyone in the country why would the cross bench senators cut a deal with the conservatives?

Hardly inspiring stuff with sensible policy (Carbon Pricing, NBN, Gonski, Disability Assistance) from the previous government under constant threat from these knuckleheads.

But its clear from that poll, people want another vote and EVEN MORE SO then after Gillard introduced carbon pricing. Gee, Abbott more unpopular than the Carbon Tax!

Floyd, what I am saying is that COALITION voters, not Palmer voters, want Palmer gone.... They would love to have power in the senate, like during one of Howards terms..... ATM, a good little conservative would be frustrated that Palmer is blocking policy..... They would love to win a DD...... They would believe in their own little reality that Shorten would get done over.... So they would support a DD.....

As far as Palmers comments go, Is China taking over by stealth? Well... There's no federal register of foreign land ownership....
His second point was that China has no justice system..... That's 2 out of 2.....
His third point was that China shoots it's own people..... That's 3 out of 3....
His fourth point was that Chinese business is run by a communist state... That's 4 out of 4.....
Love him or hate him, at least he calls a shovel a shovel...... And the climate change fraternity can't exactly turn on him and his buddy, Gore....... We could go back a few pages in Blind boys climate change thread where BB justifies Palmers and Gores tactic.....

Sheepy, Possibly correct on all points, who knows but I reckon those "left leaning" or even "centre" long term Liberal voters don't like Abbott a lot; I personally know many, they didn't vote for Abbott, in fact they said they could never vote for him and they all voted informal (remember the record high informal vote at the last federal election?).

The political conservatism we are talking about here sits most comfortably with the ideologues formally members of the Liberals which I believe most closely now resembles the republicans or tea party in the US.

History shows us that the most successful political periods/terms in Australia are when politicians on either side have policy settings in the middle i.e. "the fair go" test. Thats where Abbott is so off the mark, his policy settings aren't in the middle and they are not fair.

Not denying it then grocer? The Libs and their backers have deep pockets and can afford to do this stuff on social media as well as manipulate the main stream media.

It would be amazing that the fact we taxpayers are paying for such a team of spin doctors escapes scrutiny from the MSM until you realise that the same corporations and individuals that own the big television and media organisations are the Coalitions biggest backers. Even the ABC is being kept in line by threats of funding cuts but are still being accused of left wing bias?

It's shouldn't surprise anyone how this all operates as the 1% are only looking after their interests.

In the recent South Australian state election the amount of media and money that was being poured into the Liberal Party's election campaign was staggering! I heard they spent $3 for every $1 Labor spent. This was obvious to anyone who drove the steets of Adelaide leading up to the election. The Libs had so many posters up and stalls at shopping centres pushing their cause.

Then there was a huge campaign by The Advertiser dragging up any old dirt that could be mustered to roll the 12 year old government, like sex offences by the father of Labor minister Chole Fox from years before.

When the Liberals failed to win the media went rampant!

New state Treasurer Tom Koutsontonis was smeared by the paper that he drove Taxi's and worked in a fish and chips shop to fund his university studies and was now controlling the states finances.
As if the fact he wasn't a silver spooner with wealthy parents that could afford to fund his studies showed he was unable to do the job of Treasurer?

The born to rule will always have the playing field skewed in their favour. Labor know this but continue to work within the system in the knowlege the the Conservative's will always overreach, as they have with the current budget, and the people will realise they are being fooled..............again!
